We got it done. It turned out to get an exceedingly hot day so I shortened the route to 30 miles or so. That was more than enough. I put a water and ice supply at the half way point. Perry said it might have been the best bottle of water he'd ever had. But we got it done. Next time we'll have to poll everyone as to the best time for them to come. I still want to do the cross country trip.
